In a move that will thrill many diehard fans Brontide have announced a surprise farewell show in London:
‘On the 12th September 2015, unbeknownst to us we played our last show as Brontide. It has been our intention to play a proper farewell but making it happen has not been easy.
Therefore; we are very excited to announce that on 31st August 2017 we will be playing our final show at The Garage, London. It will be the last time we come together to play as Brontide and we hope you can all join us for a proper send off.’
For the uninitiated, Brontide initially draw upon a sonic palette familiar to fans of Don Caballero, Russian Circles and Battles, but evolved to incorporate R’n’B loops, cinematic melodies and consciously pop influences, establishing themselves as something truly unique in UK music. They have released two full length albums – San Souci and Artery – both on Holy Roar Records, as well as a string of EPs, all of which are more than worth your time and attention. Members of Brontide continue to be participate in musical endeavours as diverse as Dua Lipa, Rolo Tomassi and Mirror Manor.
As if that wasn’t enough to get excited about Brontide are joined by math-prog madheads The Physics House Band and Mancunian post-post-rock (that’s a joke genre we made up as a way of saying that the play music that’s bit like post-rock without the goddamn clichés) collective Pijn.
