Tickets are now available to see The Dear Hunter at The Garage!
Initially, Casey Crescenzo started The Dear Hunter as a side solo project as a singer and keyboardist. Today this side project has evolved into an entire indie progressive rock band and something so much more. The fanbase is extremely dedicated, delving into all aspects of the album mythology.
The debut album narrating this story was the 2006 ‘Act I: The Lake South, The River North’. This was only the beginning of an entire plot and character filled tale spanning over the course of each new album. The last instalment in the story was released in 2016 and titled ‘Hymns With The Devil In Confessional’. This collection of albums as a whole used orchestral elements and was similar to that of film scores. Magical sounding.
More recently Crescenzo and The Dear Hunter created the soundtrack to short film ‘The Indigo Child’ which posed as a teaser to their latest full-length ‘Antimai’. The entire concept creates a whole new world packed with sci-fi fanasy aspects and lores. The fictional eponymous city is a backdrop for other deeper themes, such as: class struggle, power structures and religion.
