Since the iconic rock band formed in 2005, Massar Egbari have taken the Arabic music scene by storm. Their music and disruptive lyrics gained them new audiences wherever they plug in their instruments. Massar Egbari find their edge in their ability to combine progressive tunes with lyrics tackling universal complex topics. Just as their uniqueness lies in their intriguing and diverse music, characters and background.
Over the past 12 years, they have left a deep footprint. It’s contributed to shaping the independent music scene. They are winners of many awards:
- The Middle East Music Awards (MEMA), taking it home twice in 2013 and 2017
- Bestowed the title of “Artists for Intercultural Dialogue” by UNESCO in 2010.
Since 2006, they have performed in over 40 cities. They’ve toured Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and the Middle East. They’ve released three albums; “E’era El Khabar” (2013), “To’aa we t’oum” (2015) and very recently “El Album” (2018).
